Our Wonderful Team
Your Journey to a Fulfilling Life
Marjorie Mann’s educational approach is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach.

Shelley Carlin
Director & Educational Leader.
I have worked at Marjorie Mann since November 2012, I believe each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature. I believe every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world.
Children have taught me to open my mind and heart to the joys, the innocence, and the diversity in the world. Because of this, I will remember to smile with the new, cherish the old, and laugh with children.
“Everyday I strive to make a better tomorrow for our children.”

Curriculum Leader My name is Eloise, I have been at Marjorie Mann since 2002. My passion is working with the children in the room, I thrive off challenging myself to develop my skills as an educator. I believe in play based learning, and giving the children the best opportunities to grow, learn and develop into the unique individuals they are during their time with us. I value families as the children’s most important relationship and teacher. When I work with the children, I believe I am also working with the families and building those crucial positive connections and partnerships. Family is very important to me, I am a mum to a teenage girl Amalee and I have a partner Chris and they are my world, oh and of course my 2 cats Ariel and Jemima.
Kia Ora/Kaya, my name is Jenna I am the Team Leader in the Kindy 2 room and Staff Mentor Coach. I was born and raised in New Zealand. I have a Certificate 3 and Diploma in Early Childhood studies as well as a Certificate IV in School Age Education and Care. I have worked with many age groups from 0-14 and have worked my way from unqualified educator through to Centre Management in both Early Childhood and OSHC settings.
I love working with children as everyday allows me a moment to reflect on my practices and teachings which allows me to be a better educator, help young minds grow to be stronger citizens and above all I get to enjoy many special moments with the young beautiful children entrusted in my care. My interests are nature and beach walks, music – I can play the piano, and guitar …not fluently however, singing, shopping, going to the gym, bike riding, and spending time with my amazing family.
Centre Management Committee
The Centre is managed by a voluntary Committee made up of families and interested community members. The committee works closely with the Director and carries the overall responsibility for the operation of the Centre. Its role is to ensure the regulations laid down by various government bodies are observed, to oversee and support the Director and to keep a close eye on expenditures. Committee Members are elected to their positions at the Annual General Meeting which is held in October of each year.
