Action Plans
Your Journey to a Fulfilling Life
Marjorie Mann’s educational approach is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach.
Strategic Plan 2021-2025
Starting in January 2021, Marjorie Mann embarked on updating the Centre’s Strategic Plan. Firstly, families, children and staff participated in an online survey. All the responses were collated and discussed in the strategic plan meeting. The meeting was filled with passion, dedication and innovation. It was attended by staff, committee members and families and facilitated by Jennifer Chaplyn from Same Page Consulting.
Collectively, we have created an exciting journey ahead for Marjorie Mann, with the main beneficiaries the children at the Centre of every decision. Attached is our finalized strategic Plan with all our current values and priorities until 2025.
Sustainability Action Plan 2021-2025
In alignment with our philosophy we wanted to encourage and teach the children to become as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible.
Firstly we appointed Ulrike as our Sustainability Officer as she is already very passionate about this topic. She is motivated to save the planet, leaving it in a good condition for future generations and animals.
The centre working alongside Ulrike created our Sustainability Action Plan so together we can go on our journey of a more sustainable future. In 2024 we created a Sustainability Group . The Group currently has 4 members who meet monthly to keep the centre moving forward to our sustainable future
Reconciliation Action Plan 2021-2025
OUR VISION
Marjorie Mann Lawley Daycare Centre’s Vision for Reconciliation is to be encouragers. We want to be respectful of Culture, Language and of the identity of First Nations People. We also want the actions of Reconciliation to be part of our everyday practice.
We are committed to learning more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders culture and history, giving Country the respect that it deserves.
Marjorie Mann will review our RAP every three years and continue to support children and educators to learn and grow together. We will share what we have learned with families and the wider community in a way that is respectful of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. We want to support the ongoing efforts in Australia to advocate for Country and Culture, disrupting the systems and mindsets that continue to stand in the way of positive change and equality.
This Reconciliation Action Plan was created in August 2022 in consultation with:
